These were dispelled by the 15 minute mark…Challenging every questionable decision based on his predecessor, On abortion,women’s rights, on in vitro fertilization, on the need to support Ukraine, on the January 6 th insurrection, on tax fairness, on issue after issue the President painted the Republicans into the corners they inhabit kissing Trumps ass and now quaking in their boots, throughly humiliated under the onslaught of the Presidents relentless pursuit of truth in the issues…No one felt this frightening visibility more the Speaker Mike Johnson, caught in the constant camera on the President, his rolling eyes, his squirming and twisting body language suggested he was being owned, he was trapped in the negativity of Republican positions and could barely elicit a positive moment trapped as the prisoner of Donald Trump…Nothing showed it more then the issue of the border, Biden confronted the Republicans, the bill written by Senator James Langford of Oklahoma was the conservative answer and the President stood poised to sign it, a call from Trump had killed it…As Johnson rolled his eyes implying it wasn’t so, wasn’t conservative, the camera came to Langford, he mouthed its true…That summed up the nature of the evening, over and over, on statements like buy American, support our troops, history watching January 6 th, insurrectionists not patriots, the Republicans were forced to sit on their hands, smirking, writhing and holding tight to the impossible position their adherence to Trump demands…The President crowed about his successes, bad for Republicans…Laid out a positive vision, terrible for Republicans…Was combative and fiercely patrician, 13 references to “my predecessor “, political dynamite that exploded on Republicans and the anguished postures showed it minutes in, an hour later, and with tails between their Trumpian legs, sulking and meandering out of the Chamber, whipped and beaten…Fighting Joe, reaching for Greatness, and owning the JV Team, known as the Republican Congressional Delegation and pathetic Senatorial Low Lifers, Mitch, Lindsey, Ted , and the losers Inc…
